Happy Thanksgiving!

The students of our school have worked on a mini-project to learn more about Thanksgiving, celebrated on the 23rd of November.

With the help of Luke, our wonderful Speaking Assistant, the children talked about the origins of the festivity and learnt vocabulary words related to the topic. They then thought about what they are thankful for, and decorated an autumn tree with their special messages.

The activity has served to make us all more conscious of how lucky we are and the many reasons we have for truly being thankful. It was also a way of making them get closer to an American tradition which has, at least here in Spain, little significance, as it is overlapped by crazy shopping on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

The video attached is a summary of what has gone on in school during these past days.
